24 x 24, acrylic on round gallery wrapped canvas

Definition of Phosphene – “a ring or spot of light produced by pressure on the eyeball or direct stimulation of the visual system other than by light.” That’s what this painting brings to mind for me. It looks like what I see behind my eyelids. It made of flotsam and jetsam I found in my dad’s garage and old doilies from the house that I found as we were preparing it for sale after his passing. I loved giving those little bits of refuse new life.

Phosphene can be displayed without a frame as the canvas is painted on the edges so it can be hung as is. It ships unframed, ready to hang. Varnished to preserve and protect. Certificate of Authenticity included.
