About Daniele

I create art that makes my heart sing.

When I look at an object, listen to music, or read a good book, I want to feel a resonance with it. So, that’s the kind of reaction I hope to get with the art I make. For me, art making is about exploring an endless series of what ifs. A blank canvas represents limitless possibilities. Sometimes I find what I want in the making of it, rather than working toward a preconceived idea. It becomes a search for color harmony, compositional balance, and a state of flow. It’s an exercise of exploration—texture, paint, scrub, repeat—until I feel satiated. Physically working with various materials, experimenting and analyzing, while finding that vital sense of flow is what gives me the most satisfaction.

You are invited to see a story in these paintings, have a love affair with their colors and textures, or just experience them in your own way. You might see one that brings you peace, lights your fire, or anything in between. The correct interpretation is the one that makes your heart sing.

Contact me about a commission

If you’re feeling the love, but don’t see a piece that’s quite right for you, drop me a line. I try to make commissioning a special artwork as easy as possible.

My history

I received my degree in Fine Art from Fort Hays State University in Kansas in 1993, and I’m honored that my award-winning art is now collected throughout the US, Canada and Europe.

My other artistic passion are the pet portraits I’ve been commissioned to do for the past 25+ years. The ability to translate what I see into a painting or drawing is a talent I feel lucky to have and happy to share. Sometimes clients tell me they talk to the drawing I did of their deceased pet. That’s the best because I know I have done my job well—to give you something so real you’ll relive that memory or feeling every time you look at it. You can see the collection at Petable Portraits.

I also work with Joe Camblin at Jozee Designs where I am a graphic designer and illustrator. Joe and I have created a wide variety of websites, printed material and other interesting design projects for our clients. See our website, logos and other graphic design examples at Jozee Designs.

I hope you feel like you know me a little better now. I assure you that I take the greatest care with all of my artwork whether it’s a commission or a piece that you see on the site now.

I do my best to deliver your artwork in a timely and professional way. Let’s work together!
