Wrench No. 10

A texture study, a tool study, a charcoal study and the all encompassing love of junk make this one of my favorite drawings ever.
I found this wrench in my dad’s garage and felt compelled to take a picture of it. I loved all the texture of the ancient wrench and the concrete floor, dust, bits of grass and leaves. I couldn’t resist drawing it at an enlarged size just for fun and to celebrate all those amazing textural elements. Dads have the best junk.
